Trump Attempts to force California to allow oil drilling (why this is an environmentally bad idea)

California’s coastline is one of the most environmentally and economically valuable regions in the United States, which is why attempts by President Donald Trump to expand offshore oil drilling have sparked major backlash from scientists, environmental experts, and California officials.

This is a direct threat to California’s go green efforts. Fossil fuel emissions have been found to contribute to the degradation of air quality, posing a health risk to citizens who breathe it in. Particularly causing severe respiratory illness & death. Yet this administration is still attempting to push for oil drilling to take place along the golden states coastline in Southern California.

Critics claim these actions are nothing but a mere pointless political move. Ultimately, opponents believe Trump’s attempts to expand oil drilling in California ignore decades of scientific evidence about environmental damage, climate risks, and economic harm. California’s coast is not only a natural treasure but also a critical part of the state’s identity and economy

Furthermore these efforts would threaten endangered coastal human &  wildlife by 2050 giving California another obstacle to overcome.
